Now the iPad 3 rumors that the release data of iPad 3 is going to make its debut in early 2012 has a strong backing from Citi group. BusinessInsider .com states that despite the many production hurdles that came in the iPad 3's way, it will launch as early as February next year. BusinessInsider reports citing Citi group analyst Richard Gardner that the iPad 3 release date is indeed going to be February 2012. Richard Gardner also says that the iPad 3 will have a sharp screen, this in turn backs the rumor that the iPad 3 might sport a retina display.

According to a recent report at Digitimes, the iPad 3 is just a few months away from gracing the tablet world. The proposed scaling back of iPad 2 production at the beginning of 2012 is a clear indication that the release data of iPad 3 will be Q1 2012.

The release data of iPad 3 is expected to be in the next 3 to 4 months while component makers in the supply chain are already delivering parts for the Apple iPad 3 to OEM contractors; said the inside sources.

"OEM production of iPad 2 will remain at 14-15 million units in the fourth quarter of 2011 but decline to 4-5 million units in the first quarter of 2012, paving the way for the launch of the new iPad 3."
